9 GQ Editors on Their No-Budget Spring 2026 Menswear Grails

Given the way the shopping internet talks, you could be forgiven for thinking that new clothes are landing everywhere all the time. The reality is actually very different: So that everyone in the fashion industry doesn’t lose their minds, and so that international supply chains have time to do their thing, most of the brands GQ staffers like best actually only release new collections twice a year: Once in the Spring, and once in the Autumn. And if you hadn’t noticed, spring has sprung.

This means (good news!) that the New Arrivals section at all our favourite retailers is currently flush with a full range of sizes of the season’s hottest deliveries. The less good news is that given how expensive everything is these days, most of us only have the budget to treat ourselves to one splurge per season. But what if we didn’t? What if we were, say, tech founders celebrating a recent exit, feeling one with the universe, and capable of ordering one of everything? This is the question we posed our staff this week. Below, the 36 new arrivals of their menswear dreams.

Reed Nelson Wants More of What He Already Has

Under no circumstances should I ever be allowed to shop without budgetary constraints, but a wishlist bows to no rationale, restraint or reality. And because I already got reckless with a pair of shoes this season on my own dime, the first thing I’d buy are the Double Pleat Trousers from Small Talk, which are technically part of a suit but are also just my favorite pants of the season. And if we’re talking favorites, I’d grab my third Jesper Shirt from 18 East, because I’ve never owned a shirt that fit me better than that one does, and then I’d grab the E-SB26 Jacket from Greg Laboratory, because those pockets are calling to me like nicotine after a transcontinental flight. Finally, I would round things out with the Jeff’s Shirt from Emily Dawn Long, because I already have one and love it and will double up on a good shirt whenever I get the chance. —RN, contributing style writer
