The state’s travel ban was lifted at 12pm ET on Tuesday, but drivers were urged to use extreme caution on local roads.
Shortly after the ban was lifted, local news station WPRI captured footage of a truck covered in a massive snow mound driving down a sludgy street.

‘The travel ban has lifted, but do NOT drive if your car looks like this one. It’s important to clear your vehicle completely before hitting the road,’ the news station said. The driver of the truck had cleared the view from their window, but the vehicle was still swathed in heavy snow.
In Rhode Island, it is illegal to drive with any significant amount of snow or ice on the vehicle, and drivers are required by law to clear all snow and ice off the entire car, including the roof, hood, trunk and license plates.
The footage outraged residents, who criticized the driver for acting recklessly and endangering everyone’s safety.
‘Apparently, common sense doesn’t fall from the sky like snow does,’ one person wrote on Facebook.
‘Somebody missed the brain train,’ added another. ‘But are we surprised? Really? Always at least one,’ a third person wrote.
A fourth person added, ‘Not only is that dangerous, but you’re wasting fuel.’
‘Tickets should be given out to anyone driving like this. There’s no excuse,’ wrote a fifth.
‘Not only is that unsafe for obvious reasons, but it’s also possible that it’s too much weight for the suspension,’ another person wrote.
‘It’s a traveling snow bank, the second he stops a little too hard, his car will be surrounded in a prison of his own making,’ wrote a seventh person.
Others defended the driver, joking that the person is a seasoned local doing what was necessary to get to where they needed to be.
‘We are Rhode Islanders. We don’t need to see through windshields, the windshields need to see through us,’ one person wrote.
‘The only issue I see is this person forgot to put their wiper blade down,’ wrote another.
A third person wrote, ‘He’s transporting snow to dump somewhere.’
This is the best part of the crazy story, link is here https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar…sland-driver-snow-covered-truck-blizzard.html but not really necessary…..like driving around like this.
