In January 2025, Hasselbeck blasted Behar for criticizing Carrie Underwood’s decision to perform at Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration.

“That @TheView @JoyVBehar needs to simmer down off my friend,” Hasselbeck wrote on X at the time, then latter accused Behar of “calling Carrie Underwood Un-American.”

While Behar did not describe the country singer as “un-American,” the former Survivor star continued to defend the “incredible woman” Underwood is and suggested that Behar “could learn from her strength.”

Hasselbeck later appeared on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show to discuss Behar’s comments and ripped her former talk show.

The 48-year-old children’s book author claimed Behar’s criticism of Underwood felt like “nothing more than selfish personal publicity-gaining right now,” and alleged that Behar “wants to attach her name to Carrie Underwood’s name so that she maintains relevance because she knows the ship is sinking.”

‘Excited to go back’

But apparently, the ship isn’t sinking fast enough because on Wednesday, Hasselbeck wrote about her return to the muddied waters.

“Congratulations to Alyssa. We had all three of our children while at The View… all of that while debating Hot Topics,” she noted with a smile before informing her fans, “I’m excited to go back. I’m honoured that they asked me.”

She added, “It’s a really intelligent group of women,” which contradicts what she told Hannity during her appearance last year that the show, in her opinion, “refused to put anyone there who has a lick of sense on most days.”

Hasselbeck’s feud with another View co-host

Behar wasn’t the only View host who earned some choice words from Hasselbeck.

In October 2025, Hasselbeck accused Rosie O’Donnell of lying about their live, legendary blow-up in 2007 that prompted O’Donnell’s first exit from the show.

O’Donnell alleged that their epic fight was “a setup” and “prepared” by then-producer Bill Geddie (who died in 2023), which prompted Hasselbeck to clear the air in a series emotional video messages.

“She made my entire morning miserable, fit-throwing, and then we got to the set and she went off,” Hasselbeck recalled of that fateful day before pleading with O’Donnell to get in touch with her.

“If you want to get together and talk, let’s do it, come over and swim in my pool, come take a couple laps, come back to America and enjoy your nation,” Hasselbeck said.

“We can have an open free dialogues about what we disagree on. I’ll make you dinner, what do you want to stop the bullying?”

Along with Hasselbeck, other guest panellists coming to sub in for Griffin include conservative Abby Huntsman, who sat on the full-time panel from 2018-20, along with Amanda Carpenter, Sheryl Underwood, comedian Whitney Cummings, and Savannah Chrisley, Deadline reported.

Hasselbeck served as a View co-host from 2003 to 2013.

She also made several appearances on the talk show since her departure, including as a guest co-host in 2022, and as a guest for Barbara Walters’ tribute episode in January 2023 after the co-creator died days earlier.
