If you’ve listened to my latest solo episode on The HIM & HER Show, you know that I take my time very seriously. It’s your most important asset, which is why I schedule everything in my calendar. Even time to read and think and the time it takes to drive somewhere is in my calendar. Everything is color-coded, and over the years I’ve learned how to audit my time to make sure I’m not wasting it and that I’m making space for the things that matter to me.
As with most people the things that are most important to me are moving my body, spending time with my family, meditating, reading, being creative etc. I’m a mom of 2, with a 3rd on the way so no, the day doesn’t always go as planned and every day turns out different.
But there are 5 things I do for my body almost every single day that make me feel my best and help me show up in other areas of my life as the best version of myself.
5 Things I Do For My Body Every Day
Morning Light:
Getting natural light as soon as you can in the morning is incredible for your hormones and circadian rhythm. I get mine by having coffee on my balcony while my kids read or play, or by taking a walk right after breakfast. My mood and nervous system feel instantly regulated. Usually, I’ll listen to Melissa Wood-Tepperberg while I walk (use code TSCBEAUTY).
If you want to learn more about morning and evening light and why it’s so beneficial, you have to listen to the 2-part episode with Dr. Huberman.
Hydrate:
Hydrating properly, especially before coffee has been a game-changer for my energy. Coffee depletes you of electrolytes so I like to replenish them before coffee every day. I put a scoop of Beauty Water in a glass of water, squeeze in some lemon and froth it up. You’re hydrating and replenishing with Celtic sea salt, supporting your gut and immunity with colostrum, and increasing collagen production for your hair, skin, nails and joints with pearl powder. We sourced the best of the best for you so you can be sure the ingredients are high-quality and there are no fillers or additives.
It was important to the team and I to make Beauty Water unflavored. That means you can add it to your other supplements, and use it how you want to use it. As I said, I like to have it with only water and a squeeze of lemon, or mix it in with my AG1.
Hot/Cold Therapy:
Doing the barrel sauna, cold plunge and infrared sauna has been a non-negotiable since I moved to Austin. The sauna helps you detox, increases metabolism, improves immunity and sleep. Cold plunging is incredible for stress management, inflammation, the nervous system and so much more. I’m up to 20 minutes in the sauna and 4 minutes in the cold plunge. It’s come to be a practice my body craves. The infrared sauna in my office is something I’m obsessed with too.
I have a few different recommendations if you wanted to get a sauna or cold plunge for your home. Of course, there’s a range of sizes and prices depending on what you want to spend.
+ Sun Home infrared sauna (use this link for $300 off)
+ Blue Cube cold plunge (use this link for $500 off)
+ or start by taking freezing cold showers

Skincare:
To me, skincare is self-care. Taking the time for myself to cleanse, massage, hydrate and take care of my skin is essential morning and night. My updated skincare routine is full of favorite products, and when it comes to tools, Lauryn’s Edit has my current daily favorites.
One thing I always make time for is facial massage. Whether it’s with our face massager or with some oil and my hands, I like to sculpt and stretch the fascia in my face, as well as stretch my scalp. I know that sounds funny, but try it. It feels so good. You can find my other face workouts here.
Unwind:
When my day is done and the kids are in bed, my phone goes away and my non-toxic candle, neck wrap, Kindle, blanket and tea come out. An effective morning starts in the evening, so this relaxing time at the end of the day has become an addiction and I look forward to it every day. Finally, I put on my silk pajamas and crawl into bed for at least 8 hours of deep sleep, thanks to mouth tape.
What are some things you do for your body every single day? These really are the things that fill my cup so I can show up in other parts of my life as my best self. It may sound like a lot, and a little overwhelming, but once you have a system, and everything in it’s place (like your skincare and pantry all organized, it’s pretty seamless.
x, Lauryn
