Soho Farmhouse Ibiza
- The hotel has just 14 guest rooms and two villas set on a nine-acre working olive grove near the vibrant village of Santa Gertrudis.
- On-site wellness programming ranges from poolside yoga and HIT workouts to beach volleyball and meditative sound journeys.
- The spa features biohacking treatments, exclusive beautifying therapies by high-end Hungarian brand Omorovicza, and a series of outdoor baths and infrared saunas.
- More than 40 Balearic artists were commissioned to create works for the hotel, including Natalie Rich and Malvina Kang Hughes.
For decades, Ibiza has been drawing free spirits, New Age wellness seekers, and party people who keep its clubs pulsing until dawn. This summer, the London-born members’ club Soho House joined the scene, opening a boutique hotel and clubhouse on a centuries-old finca near the village of Santa Gertrudis.
When I arrived at the countryside estate for a two-night visit, my cab driver trailed behind a caravan of two vintage stretch Fiats, their blue-and-white striped canvas roofs flapping in the wind. Inside the olive-colored cars were fashionable young women donning silk headscarves and sleek swimsuits, on their way to the hotel’s glittering pool.
I’d been at the property just three years earlier, back when the estate was still Cas Gasi, a beloved boutique hotel and one of the island’s first agroturismos, an independently owned farm. For 25 years, Cas Gasi drew a loyal following of tranquility- and privacy-seekers who treated the family-owned finca like a home-away-from-home. It was one of my favorite Balearic Island hideaways, and I feared Soho House might stamp out what was there before, imposing its own singular vibe and aesthetic. Peeking inside the main 19th-century farmhouse, now with slouchy midcentury-style leather armchairs and olive-hued velvet banquettes, it was clear the brand had left its mark. But any hesitation melted with my first interaction at the door.

“Bienvenida a Ibiza,” said Pepe Fernández, the general manager. As he led me around the reimagined estate, Fernández was quick to note that many of Cas Gasi’s staff had stayed on, and the most loyal guests had been offered fast-tracked memberships, so they could keep coming back. His own hippie parents had moved to Ibiza in the 1970s, and he spoke with conviction about preserving the creativity and authenticity that first drew outsiders to the island. The plan, he explained, was to keep the hotel open year-round, hosting talks, book launches, film screenings, and other cultural programming.
Of course, Soho House has put its own spin on the historic finca. The showpiece outdoor pool now comes with DJ-spun beats; the on-site boutique sells party-ready, pearl-encrusted dresses and floppy boho sun hats; and the outdoor fitness deck hosts HIIT classes, breathwork sessions, and even somatic movement therapy. A cluster of infrared saunas, ice baths, and onsens accompany the wooden treatment cabins, where therapists administer facials and massages using products by Cowshed, Skinceuticals, and Hungarian skincare line Omorovicza.
But rather than overwhelm the property, these additions have enlivened it, drawing a broader crowd to its idyllic grounds and helping a younger generation connect with the island’s slower rhythms, far from its glitzy beach clubs. It also seems to have pulled off what few other Ibizan transplants have: creating a scene without drowning out the local soul. I, for one, can’t wait to go back.
Here is everything you need to know about Soho Farmhouse Ibiza.
The Rooms
The 14 guest rooms and two villas feel very much in sync with the island’s chic yet easygoing aesthetic: light linens, jute rugs on burnt terracotta floors, textured stone walls, and Catalan-style vaulted ceilings. The bathrooms feature Napoli green and Arabescato marble countertops and a full range of Cowshed shower products.
Eight rooms are housed in the 19th-century farmhouse. Three smaller Terrace Plus rooms, located opposite the farmhouse, come with a small outdoor front porch for soaking in the countryside views. There is also a duo of two-bedroom villas, the most luxurious of which, Villa Sol, sleeps four and is equipped with two outdoor areas with stylish Chartreuse-green sunloungers, a steel hot tub, spacious living and dining spaces, and the option of hiring a private chef.

My Big Terrace room felt more like a countryside cottage than a standard hotel suite and sat just below the outdoor yoga deck. It opened onto a large garden, planted with cypress, lavender, and jasmine, with a striking steel hot tub at its center, perfect for nightly soaks beneath the stars. Another highlight was the fully stocked mini bar with deluxe goodies like chef Albert Adrià’s Caviaroli Drops (sphere-shaped olive juice drops) and Lupe Ibiza lime-ginger popsicles as well as an Emergency Essentials kit, stocked with wellness products like ear seeds, CBD creams, and herb-infused sleep patches.
Food and Drink
In recent years, Ibiza’s farm-to-fork movement has exploded, with trendy regenerative destination restaurants like Juntos Farm. The two dining concepts at Soho Farmhouse Ibiza share the same ethos, with fresh produce like vine-ripened tomatoes, eggplant, and zucchini sourced from the hotel’s own vegetable patch and that of the aforementioned Juntos Farm.
Breakfast, lunch, and evening tapas are served at the Farmhouse restaurant, where tables spill onto a new garden shaded by olive trees and furnished with wrought-iron chairs topped with striped and botanical-print cushions. There are also a few indoor tables, scattered around a horseshoe-shaped bar serving cocktails and mocktails. On the food menu are Spanish classics like paella, croquetas fritters, and patatas bravas, or crispy potatoes, along with colorful summer salads and crowd-pleasers like burgers and sandwiches. Pro tip: save room for post-lunch gelato, scooped poolside from an old-school ice cream cart.
At dusk, the Farmhouse restaurant turns into a see-and-be-seen spot where members gather over Balearic dishes such as grilled Formentera langoustine and sage-scented secreto Ibérico pork steak, served on handmade ceramics by local artist Pedro León. The setting couldn’t be lovelier, with amber-hued glass chandeliers and olive trees strung with lanterns. For dessert, don’t miss the ice-cream sandwich twist on a traditional ensaimada, the Flaó tart made with goat cheese from Juntos Farm.
Activities and Experiences

While the Farmhouse’s heated outdoor pool beckons with its DJ beats and chic green sun loungers, the menu of activities is too extensive to stay put for an extended amount of time. Guests can join a hike along the island’s coastal trails with Ibiza Hike Station, the outdoor adventure outfitter founded by Swiss-born Manuel Ehrensperger (formerly CEO of Spanish bridalwear powerhouse Pronovias). Or they can head to the open-air yoga deck for the hotel’s seemingly endless lineup of fitness classes, from power yoga and HIIT to meditation and breathwork.
I opted for a one-on-one somatic movement session with Dutch-born, Ibiza-based Nathalie Van Den Hombergh, a contemporary dancer and healer who guided me through a powerful sequence of dance-based movements, designed to release energy blockages and reset emotional alignment. Maybe it was the rolling views, the island air, or Van Den Hombergh’s intuitive coaching, but I left feeling lighter, energized, and more in tune with myself.
For the more self-directed, there’s a glass-walled personal training facility and a state-of-the-art gym with Technogym equipment, Peloton bikes, and an outdoor rig with free weights and fitness trampolines. There’s even an outdoor beach volleyball court, with regular tournaments.
And the action won’t stop when the temperatures drop. This winter, the hotel will layer in cultural programming like film screenings, acoustic concerts, book launches, and artist talks, ensuring the property hums with life year-round.
The Spa
Located on a forested hillside overlooking the farmhouse, Soho Health Club is a holistic hideaway that feels blissfully removed from the hotel’s buzz. In the open-air reception area is a smoothie bar, a curated retail space, and an open-air treatment area for manicures, pedicures, medical-grade IV drips by Body Brilliant, and compression boots for reducing inflammation and promoting circulation.
Higher up on the hill are infrared saunas, outdoor onsen baths, ice plunges, and a series of wood-lined treatment cabins that lend the impression of being transported to the middle of a secluded forest. There, guests can choose from a range of facial and body therapies using the Cowshed, Skinceuticals, and the Hungarian cult line Omorovicza.
I surrendered to one blissful hour with the Omorovicza Blue Diamond Radiance Facial—exclusive to Soho Farmhouse Ibiza—a ritual of cleansing, exfoliation, a decadent mask, and a tension-melting neck-and-arm massage. Other signature offerings include the Gold Sculpt Ritual, a full-body treatment that combines massage, gua sha sculpting, and exfoliation for a head-to-toe reset.
Family-Friendly Offerings
While Soho Farmhouse Ibiza has a dedicated children’s pool and is technically family-friendly, it feels more like a grown-up escape, where adults come to unwind and disconnect.
Accessibility and Sustainability
Gravel footpaths and uneven stone walkways mean this isn’t the most accessible property, though there is a room specifically designed for wheelchair users.
The sustainable ethos of Cas Gasi lives on here: the on-site farm supplies produce for the kitchen, while solar and photovoltaic panels generate hot water and electricity. No new permanent structures were added during the hotel’s transformation.
Location
Set in the rural heart of the island, just 20 minutes from the coast and a half hour from Ibiza Airport (IBZ), Soho Farmhouse Ibiza is far enough from the fray to be secluded, yet close enough for guests to hit the beach, explore coastal hiking trails, or wander the UNESCO-protected Dalt Vila.
And while many will be tempted to stay put, it’s worth venturing into nearby Santa Gertrudis, a vibrant village packed with trendy shops and restaurants.
