Multiple people have reportedly been injured following a plane crashing into a retirement community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

According to TMZ, the incident occurred on March 9. Furthermore, a small plane reportedly crashed into the streets of a retirement community in Lancaster. Footage obtained by the outlet showed the craft “completely ablaze in the street.”

Per the outlet, multiple ambulances arrived on the scene. Furthermore, the Federal Aviation Administration later confirmed in a preliminary report that a “Beechcraft Bonanza” crashed “shortly after takeoff into a retire community” in Lancaster around 3 p.m.

“Five people were on board. The FAA will investigate,” the administration asserted.

More Details On The Multiple People Reportedly Injured Amid The Incident In Pennsylvania

According to the FAA, one member of the flight crew sustained injuries, while four passengers also sustained injuries. Per NBC10 Philadelphia, on Monday, March 10, three of the five people injured were reportedly sent from the Lancaster hospital to a burn center “for treatment.”

The two other passengers were reportedly released from the hospital on Sunday evening. Per PEOPLE, the plane was traveling to Springfield, Ohio, at the time of the crash. According to NBC10 Philadelphia, no one on the ground sustained any injuries at the time of the crash.

A full investigation should reportedly be concluded within 12 to 24 months.

The plane crash in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, follows a string of recent incidents in aviation. Most notably, in January, a Learjet carrying a pediatric patient and five others crashed into the streets of Philadelphia. The crash claimed the lives of all those onboard, as well as one bystander on the street. Additionally, it set homes and streets ablaze.

Additionally, as The Shade Room previously reported, two planes collided at Marana Regional Airport in Arizona last month. Furthermore, the crash left two people deceased.
