Hailee Steinfeld Just Debuted Her Engagement Ring From Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and actress Hailee Steinfeld have much to celebrate. In addition to Allen being named the league’s 2025 Most Valuable Player at the NFL Honors on February 6, 2025, Steinfeld debuted her engagement ring—a round-cut jewel—for the first time at the ceremony. In addition to showing off her new diamond, the singer donned a midi-length strapless black dress with a statement necklace for the occasion. Her all-black ensemble coordinated with that of her fiancé, who wore a black suit and tie.

“Hailee’s engagement ring appears to be about a three-and-half to four-carat round brilliant diamond set in a thin platinum solitaire setting,” says Olivia Landeau, the founder and CEO of The Clear Cut. “Her engagement ring is timeless and traditional. She opted for a classic ring versus following trends. If her diamond is natural, the ring is estimated to cost anywhere from $70,000 to $150,000, depending on its quality.”

While the athlete and singer have been linked since May 2023, their night out at the NFL Honors marks their first public appearance together. Over the course of the past year, the two have kept their relationship fairly private, waiting until July 23, 2024, to even confirm that they were together, which they did in an Instagram post. However, in September 2024, Steinfeld provided a closer look into their dynamic, writing about her excitement for the upcoming football season in an edition of her newsletter, Beau Society: “Football season is back which means a few things. A) I get to watch my favorite person continue to make NFL history every week (go off 17). B) We’re just a few weeks away from drastic temperature drops (California girl speaking) where you’ll find me drinking hot chocolate bundled in vintage Bills gear.”

On November 29, 2024, the two announced their engagement, posting a photo of the football star down on one knee under an arch of flowers on Instagram. However, the caption, ♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️” insinuated that the athlete had actually popped the question days earlier. In a recent edition of Steinfeld’s newsletter, Allen revealed the planning process behind the proposal—and how his partner almost inadvertently ruined the surprise. “The funniest thing was that we woke up and were getting ready for brunch and you jumped on the bed and said, ‘Can we get married already?!? What are you waiting for??!,’” Allen wrote in the newsletter’s question and answer section, according to E! News. “I replied, ‘Just give me a little more time.’ Little did you know I was about to propose to you…”

Other athletes and celebrity friends were quick to celebrate the announcement of the duo’s engagement. “Amazing news!,” actress Elizabeth Banks commented on Instagram. “Congratulations!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻,” added Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. And residents of the city of Buffalo, where Allen has been a key part of the football team since 2018, also issued celebratory remarks. A billboard sponsored by Delaware North, a hospitality company, read: “The queen city has a new queen. Congratulations, Josh and Hailee.”
